If you’re a notorious over-packer like me, it can be a real struggle when it the time to pack for a trip comes. The line between over-packing and forgetting an outfit I need ASAP has always been blurry.
The worst feeling in the world is wanting to wear an outfit while you’re away, only to realize you left a piece of it at home…
So how do we solve this? How can you pack everything you need without paying overweight charges? By packing the basics.
My basics: black skinny jeans, white v-necks, leather jacket, white sneakers, and a pair of boots.
My favorite sneakers of the moment and a classic go-to across the world:
Adidas Superstars (custom edition with initials)
For boots I always choose my silver ankle boots from Topshop because they add a bit of my style to any outfit:
Ankle Boots (Topshop)
By packing the basics, you have more room to shop while you’re touring the world and you’re able to bring more accessories and beauty products.
For accessories, I always bring a Western belt (like this one from ASOS):
Also, I always bring my Pentax camera to help me capture the moment.
For beauty products, I always have to have a good moisturizer. When I travel, especially, my skin fluctuates from oily to dry, so having a good moisturizer helps me to balance out any issues I’m having with my skin. The one I’m using currently is Neutrogena’s HydroBoost moisturizer. It helps my naturally oily skin stay balanced no matter the environment. (pictured below)
